It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cynthia Cathcart Ballas (Covington, Louisiana), born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Michell Cathcart and Myrtle Jourdan Cathcart (Sue); and her husband Richard Francis Ballas. She is survived by: her children, Richard Blaine Ballas (Liz) and Kelley Ballas Armstrong (Jim); her stepgrandsons, Jeffrey Brian Montalbano II and Matthew Ryan Montalbano (Hillary); her great grandchild Frederic Van Ballas; and her stepgreat-grandchildren, Nicholas Austin Montalbano, Nathan Alexander Montalbano, Abigail Elizabeth Montalbano, Dahlia Elizabeth Montalbano and Matthew Ryan Montalbano Jr.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
