We are sad to announce that on November 13, 2021, at the age of 89, Claudette Marie Couvillon Simpson Horn of Covington, Louisiana, born in Plaucheville, Louisiana passed away. She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Charles Couvillion and Nell Haydel Couvillion; her husbands, John William Simpson, MD and Norman L. Horn, Jr.; and her daughter Syndie Gay Simpson.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph Francis Simpson (Helen Buffington), Shelby "Shan" Simpson McDaniel (RT McDaniel), Shari Simpson Wilcoxon (Jerry Wilcoxon), Suzette Simpson Pellegrini (Jay Pellegrini), Shelly Simpson Stubbs (Mike Stubbs) and Sandra Simpson Oliveaux (David Oliveaux); and her siblings, Dr. Glynne Charles Couvillion of Santa Barbara, CA, Dr. William Anthony Couvillion of Baton Rouge, LA and Sandra Couvillion Freret of Covington, LA.. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and of 11 great grandchildren.
