It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Joseph Besson of Covington, Louisiana, born in New Orleans, Louisiana, who passed away on May 29, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Besson and Claudia Besson; his former wives, Mary Swain Besson and Suzanne Pyle Besson; and his siblings, Francis Besson, Olga Rushing and Marie Laurent.
He is survived by: his wife Colleen Kerns Besson of Covington; his children, Michael Besson (Fran) of Mandeville, Claudia Seale (Delton) of Bogalusa, Susan Brewer (Kenny) of Covington and Michelle Wheeler of Covington; and his siblings, Edwin Besson Jr. of Covington, Jackie Tusa of Lacombe and Martha Carrier of Labadieville. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
