He was predeceased by: his parents, Greal Blackwell and Mary Stafford Blackwell; his wife Edith Blackwell; his brothers, Verdie, Billy and Vernon; his siblings-in-law, Betty Hunt (Lawrence) and Thomas Willie (Mary); and his nephew Ronnie Willie (Scott Crawford).
He is survived by: his children, Matt Burr (Betsy) and Kasie Burr (Nicole); his grandchildren, Briggs and Bregman Burr; his sister Margie Jones; his sister-in-law Helen Galloway (Kenneth); his family, Carmen Mizell, Darrell and Annette Baham; and his nieces and nephews, Jimmy Cox, Debbie Cox, Kenneth Galloway, Jr., Andrew Galloway, Tina Willie and Katie Wales.
