He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonse Joseph Schmitt, Jr. and Betty Magee Schmitt; and his sister Pamela Ann Schmitt. He is survived by: his close friend Linda Ball Dolese; his siblings, Stephen Nolan Schmitt, Christopher Magee Schmitt and Suzanne Schmitt Brown (Michael); his nieces, Margaret Brown Geddes (Giles) and Mary Nolan Brown; his nephew Michael James Brown, Jr. (Jay); and also, Lauren Dolese (Brandon Talley), Erin Humphries (Travis), Logan, Bria, Carys, Kiersten, Avery and Ross.
