He is survived by: his wife Belinda Dolores Fuentes; his mother Teresa Garate (Belinda Fuentes Vargas); his children, Gabriela Fuentes and Alexander Vargas Jr.; his stepchildren, Yenifer Van Kanegon, James Van Kanegon and Janie Dick; and his brother Israel Vargas Garate.
