She was predeceased by: her parents, Mittie Cason Giddings and Andrew Giddings; her husband Stanley Welch; her brother Doyle Giddings; and her brothers-in-law, Leroy Deen and Doug Lawson.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Welch Broussard (Gerry) of Katy, Norman Welch of Shreveport and Richard Welch (Michelle) of Allen, Texas; her grandchildren, Elizabeth, Garrett Broussard and Zachary Welch; her sisters, Doris Lawson and Jean Deen; her sister-in-law Ouida Giddings; and her brothers, Andrew Giddings (Patsy) of Coushatta and Red Giddings (Lynette) of Coushatta. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family would like to express special thanks to all the caregivers at Brookdale Shreveport, Cinco Ranch Alzheimer Center and Hospice for all the care, love and support given to Syble. The family suggests memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America in honor of Syble Welch and others suffering with this disease.
