He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph H. Johnson and Birdie Slaughter Johnson; his wife Mary Katherine Hudson Johnson; his brother David Wayne Johnson; and his stepdaughter Frances Moore.
He is survived by: his daughter Kathy Johnson; his siblings, Elaine Smith (Jerry), Brenda Patterson and George Johnson; his stepchildren, Roy Glen Moore, Danny Moore (Sheila), J. W. Moore (Paula), Lennie O-Corr (Stewart) and Carol M. Graham (Bryan); and his granddaughters, Cynthia Johnson and Marie Carver Cheatwood. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; and a host of step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
