He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrtle Giddings and Lonnie Giddings; and his siblings, Lonnie, Jimmy, Howard, Wanda Baker, Shelia Giddings Cloud, Maggie Jordan and Sue Davis.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Burkett; his daughter Nicki Fontenot; his granddaughters, Anna Grace and Cassidy; and his siblings, Annie Wood, Janice Brown (Gervis), Sarah Scott, Rodney Burkett (Carolyn) and Johnny Giddings. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
