She was predeceased by: her significant other John Baxter McElwee "J. B."; her mother Opal Austin; her parents-in-law, Robert L. McElwee and Vera Weaver McElwee; her siblings-in-law, Bobby L. McElwee, Eleanor McElwee Cox and A. J. Cox; her niece Debra Cox; and her nephew Wendell Cox.
She is survived by: her pet Precious Puppy; her children, John B. McElwee, Jr. (Sherry) of Bay St and Kim K. McElwee (Denise Bergeron) of Metairie; her grandsons, Justin Sheriden McElwee (Anoush) of Brooklyn and Sean Austin McElwee (Mandy Lane) of Orlando; her great grandchildren, Riley, Emerson Baxter and Kinsley of Orlando, Florida.; her brother Harmon Austin, Jr. of Orlando; her cousin Nevelyn Faith Brown of Shreveport; her siblings-in-law, Michael M. McElwee and Laverne McElwee of Natchitoches, Louisiana.; her nieces and nephews, Tanya Austin Valente, Kathy Tingle, Harmon Austin III, Kenneth Wayne Austin, Gary McElwee, Jerry McElwee, Danny McElwee and Michael McElwee; and also Beverly McElwee of Fairview Alpha.
