She was predeceased by: her husband J. R. Sessions; her daughter Aliene Sessions McCoy; her parents, L. B. Nichols and Thelma Nichols; and her siblings, Walter B. Nichols, Douglas Nichols and Shirley Nichols Longino.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jason McCoy and Kara Mitchell (Tyler); her great grandchildren, Conor McCoy and Bodi Mitchell; and her niece Christy Gay (Mark). She is also survived by other nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital in her memory.
