He was predeceased by: his parents, Lem Cox and Margie Cox; his brothers, Lane Cox, Jessie Cox, Thomas Cox and Fred Cox; his wives, Jewel Cox and Doris Pauline "Polly" Adkins; and his stepdaughter Leola Hugg.
He is survived by: his children, Billy and Lucille; and his sister-in-law Elizabeth Cox of Beaumont, TX. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
