He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Clint, Dorothy Courtney and Thomas Riley McKissack; his great-grandparent Maudis Ferguson; and his aunts, Kathleen Courtney and Paula McKissack.
He is survived by: his parents, James Thomas McKissack and Nancy Courtney Bounds; his grandmother Sara McKissack; his daughters, Farrah Elise McKissack, Kaylee Elizabeth McKissack and River Lyn McKissack; his sister Tara Lynn McKissack (Robert Tilley); and his nephew Easton Thomas. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
