He is survived by: his wife Beryl Hebert of Cottonport; his children, Matthew Hebert (Sarah) of Plaucheville and Stephanie Hebert of Otis; his grandchildren, Rylee Dalgo of Plaucheville, Chad Michael of Plaucheville, David Smith, Jr. of Plaucheville and Pat Smith of Otis; his great grandchildren, Kinsley Smith of Plaucheville and Sydnie Smith of Fifth Ward; and his siblings, Virgil Hebert of Cottonport, Jay Hebert of Cottonport and Margaret Robar of Mansura.
