He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Matthews Moore and Calvin Coolidge Moore; and his siblings, Calvin Moore, Jr., Frank Moore, Sr., Floyd Ella Jenkins, Betty Joyce Moore, Carolyn James and Danny Moore.
He is survived by: his children, Jasmine Laurent, James Moore, Jr. and Jarvis Moore; his wife Stephanie Laurent Moore; and his siblings, Brenda Bazile, Jackie Moore, Jacqueline Moore Bonton, Donald Ray Moore (Sherrin), Ricky Moore, Sr. (Mary A. Jones), Johnny Moore, Sr. (Aretha), Jimmy Caldwell, Pamela Jones, Shirley Friels and Connie Adams. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Golden Chain Baptist Church. A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
