He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernice Mansell and Margaret Holloway Simmons; his wife Evelyn H. Simmons; and his sister Sarah S. Matthews. He is survived by: his daughter Renae Simmons. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Baptist Church, 120 Baptist Drive, Cotton Valley LA 71018; or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
