It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Miriam McClanahan Duchesne of Columbia, Louisiana, born in Hebert, Louisiana, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her brother Ray Duchesne (Dub Whittington); and her daughters, Melba Emmons and Sheila Whittington. She is survived by: her sons, Randall Duchesne (Celeste Wallace) and Dolyn "Bubba" Duchesne (Sheila); her sisters, Vera Woods and Margie Roberts; her grandchildren, Alvin Emmons (Kim), Rebecca Brown, Mendy Duchesne, Kimberly Duchesne, James Randall Duchesne (Dori), Tyler Duchesne, Alyssa Duchesne and Cierra Herrington; and her great grandchildren, Julia Patton, Isaac Brown, Elianna Brown, Joel Brown, Daisy Garsee, Christian Garsee, Colter Garsee, Aubrey Garsee, Rylee Duchesne, Landon Slade, Drake Duchesne, Ella Kate Duchesne, Olivia Jane Duchesne and Harper Jo Duchesne.
