He was predeceased by: his parents, Saint Elmo May and Maggie Coates May; his wife Betty Hamilton May; his son Gary Leo May; and his mother-in-law Alfra Hamilton.
He is survived by: his children, Clint May (Pam), Steven May (Shannon), Carol Greer (Rick) and Linda Head (Gaylon); his grandchildren, Jessica Slaughter (Joey), Daniel May, Adam May (Kandis), Jacob May, Taylor May, Dustin May, Brittany Rushing (Justin), Kevin Greer (Julia Ann), Kathleen Bahm (Aaron) and Bo Escalon; and his close friends, Effie Floyd, Bill and Lou Rushing. He is also survived by his family; nineteen great-grandchildren.
The family asks that any planned memorials be made to Columbia Heights Building Fund or The Gideons.
