He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilie Dortch and Monique Washer Dortch; and his brother Jimmy Dortch. He is survived by: his daughter Shirley Potgieter-Garrett (Scott); his brother Tommy Dortch (Samantha); his granddaughter Maggie Potgieter; and his close friend Sheila Murphy.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Riser Funeral Homes (7131 US-165, Columbia, LA 71418). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, November 10th 2024 from 3:30 PM to 3:45 PM at the Fellowship Cemetery.
