He is survived by: his children, Paul Carter (Patricia), Dwayne Carter (Sara), Jason Carter (Debbie) and Karen Sanderson (Jimmy); his siblings, Pete Carter (Helen) and Mary Lou Blackshire; and his great great grandchildren, Serving, John Lance Sanderson Jr., Nathan Sanderson, Noble Simpson, Chance Carter, Chase Carter and Clifford McClure. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren.
