He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dalton and Waynie Guice Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Gayle Gallien Johnston; his children, Teresa Johnston Miller (Gary Miller), Katie Johnston Tanner (Stephen Tanner) and Travis Johnston (Elizabeth Hampton Johnston); his grandchildren, Jonathan Miller (Morgan Rachal Miller), Chase Johnston, Adam Miller, Caleb Johnston, Mackenzie Tanner and Emily Miller; his great grandchild Marlee Miller; and his siblings, Donald Johnston and Jo Ann Johnston Williams (Terry Williams). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home (848 Keyser Ave, Natchitoches, LA 71457). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Memory Lawn Cemetery.
