He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ellis Duane Bowden and Patricia Ann Swope; his wife Jean Marie Bowden; his children, Gregory Bowden, Jr. (Oklahoma), Katherine, Zach Stevens (Missouri), Teresa, Brandon Cotheran (Missouri), Hailey Bowden (Oklahoma), Elizabeth Bowden of Jonesville, LA, Victoria Bowden of Columbia, Jamal Bowden of Columbia and Isaiah Bowden of Columbia; his sisters, Mary Brendle of Columbia and Cindy Scroggins of Jonesville; his niece Haylee Duncan; his mother-in-law Cora Tucker (David) of Texas; his close friends, Gaylon Scroggins, Johnny Higginbotham and Sam Brendle; his brother Steve Bowden; and his father-in-law George Gray. He was also cherished by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers.
In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
