It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Huey Childress of Columbia, Louisiana, who passed away on December 4, 2020, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Merle; and his siblings, Vercie, Melvis, Robert Mitchell, Carl Childress and Virginia Childress McDaniel.
He is survived by: his sons, Danny (Fran) of Columbia and Randy (Monica) of Argyle, TX; his grandchildren, Ashley Childress, Kylie Childress, Ali Childress, Ericka Williamson (Wes), Jared Childress, Tyler Madison and Hunter Madison; his great grandchildren, Finley and Ellie Williamson; his siblings, Kenneth Childress (Marie) and Bobbie Grace Rowe (Bill); and his great grandchildren, Kirsten, Tammy, Pam, Clark, Charley Kate, Haley, Caleb, Addison and Aiden. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family and many loving friends.
The family respectfully requests that due to the pandemic, masks and social distancing be observed at all times.
Mr Gerald requested that donations be made to the Columbia Heights Baptist Church Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
