She was predeceased by: her father V. H. Ostteen; her son Lucas "Luke" Scroggs; and her husband B. "Buddy" Scroggs. She is survived by: her children, W. Dewaine Brewer (Dana), James Scroggs (Clivette), John Scroggs (Elaine), Max Scroggs (Cindy), Mike Scroggs (Tamara), Eddie Scroggs (Sandy), Jennifer A. Strickland and Wanda Stroud (Randy); and her grandchildren, Judson Strickland (Katelynn), Megan Rubio (Brian), Meredith Scroggs, Maci Scroggs, Doug Stroud (Karla), Derek Stroud (Becka), Leslie Haley, Chris Scroggs (Cyndi), Joe Scroggs (Angelica), Hannah Bird (T. J.), Justin Scroggs, Heather Scroggs, Taylor May and Bailey Scroggs (Daulton). She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers any planned memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Columbia or the Cross Roads Baptist Church at Grayson.
