He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Ann Takewell Savage; and his daughters, Laura Lynn Botts and Sandra Gay Lovin. He is survived by: his parents, Jerd Savage and Mattie Savage; his siblings, Ann Handy, Cissy Jeter, Carolyn Pipes and Deborah Hightower; his siblings-in-law, Bev Handy, David Pipes, Wayne Hightower, Tillie Cobb and Ted Fontenot; his wife Donna Jackson Savage; his children, William, Leslie, Dee, Jamie and Mem; his grandchildren, Travis, Phillip, Kyle, Jerod, Jake, Laura Beth, Zack, Gabriel, Murphy, Darien, Hagan, Sully and Matty; and his great grandchildren, Ryan, Henry, Dominic, Ally, Caylon, Beaux, John Ross and Bristol. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest that planned memorials in memory of Mr. William "Buddy" Savage be made to the Reily Memorial United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 253, Mer Rouge, Louisiana 71261.
