He is survived by: his spouse Dee Yates; his child Jeff Yates; his sister Gayle Johnston; his sister-in-law Becky Yates of Bastrop, LA; and his grandchildren, Lizzie Nason, Autumn Nason, Chris Yates and Benjamin Yates. He is also survived by numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
