It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Elaine Vercher of Colfax, Louisiana, who passed away on August 16, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Eugene "Tiny" Vercher; her parents, Opal Summerford and Crawford L. LaCour; her stepfather Wallace Summerford; and her brother Sonny LaCour.
She is survived by: her daughter Eugenia Renee Svitek (Greg) of Houston, Texas; her granddaughters, Jamie Renee Harper (Ben) of Houston and Michelle Leigh Svitek (George) of Dallas, Texas; her great grandchildren, Corbin Colin, Hattie Rene and Tate Gregory Harper; and her brother Charles Ray LaCour of Colfax. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
