He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore DeLong and Rozelle DeLong; his brother Fred Charles DeLong; and his nephew Brian Elwood. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Sanders DeLong; his children, Nathan DeLong, Celetra Cameron (Mike Shows) and Delores LeBaron (Paul); and his siblings, George DeLong (Donna), Maxine Nugent, Myrtie Williams and Margie Elwood. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
