He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest D. Wehunt and Leola Wehunt. He is survived by: his wife Dale Wehunt of Colfax; his sons, Ernest Wehunt, Jr. (Carolyn) of Colfax, Rickey Wehunt (Mindy) of Dry Prong and DeWayne Wehunt (Nicole) of Colfax; his brother Carl "Shorty" George (Judy) of Prospect; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Wehunt, Amber Winters, Ben Wehunt, Cole Young, Anthony Wehunt, Devin Wehunt, Kevin Wehunt, Katelin Lasyone, Triston Kelley and Cheyenne Kelley. He is also survived by fifteen great grandchildren.
