She was predeceased by: her husband Richard S. Thompson; her parents, Wilburn B. Anderson and Emmie Paul Anderson; her siblings, Laird Anderson, Raymond Anderson and Helen Anderson Curtis; and her grandchildren, Paul J. "Andy" Anderson and Emmie Anderson Wisniewski.
She is survived by: her daughters, Barbara Lynn Thompson Brown (Daniel W. Brown) of Colfax and Ellen Gayle Thompson Anderson; her husband Paul J. Anderson of Baton Rouge, LA; her grandchildren, Markay Brown of Ruston, LA, Kayla Brown Glascock of Benton, LA, Gay Lynn Brown of Freeport, FL, Richard Anderson of New York City, NY, Deborah Moody of Witchita Falls, TX, Chad Anderson of Baton Rouge, LA and Alicia Anderson of Gonzales, LA; and her sister Kay Reynolds. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
