He is survived by: his children, Veronica Catchings Rangel (John) of Houston, Sharon Catchings of Houston and Cleve Catchings (Michelle) of Seattle; his grandchildren, Eris Haggerty, Grace Folley, Samantha Rangel and Alexandria Rangel; and his siblings, Thelma Mundy, Bertie Boatright, Linda Snow, Freddie Catchings and Robert Catchings. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
