She was predeceased by: her husband Theodore Granniss; her son Thomas Lawayne Powell; and her grandson Jason Carlshires. She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Thorne, Charlene Shires and Eva Danzy (Greg); and her brother Thomas "Bill" Tunnell (Mitzi). She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren; her numerous great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Fairfield Baptist Church (110 N Dogwood Ln, Dry Prong, LA 71405). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
