She was predeceased by: her parents, Leona Lavalle King Newman and James "Jimmy" Morris Newman; her sister Kelly Shiree Newman; and her brother-in-law Howard Zoellner. She is survived by: her children, James Michael Hillard of Cheyenne, WY and Melanie Walker (Hunter) of Wisner, LA; her grandchildren, Braylee Walker, Mallory Hillard and Michael Hillard; her sisters, Crystal Newman and LaDonna Zollner; her nieces, Laura Boone and Bridget Delaughter; her nephew Dalton Cowan; and her former husband David Hillard.
