He was predeceased by: his parents, James W. Cornwell and Lena L. Cornwell; his former wife Barbara Tucker; his wife Peggy E. Cornwell; his siblings, Ralph Cornwell, William Cornwell, Pinky Cornwell, Bonnie Cornwell and Irene C. Boyd; and his great grandchild Kristopher J. Becenel.
He is survived by: his children, Lena "Candy" Cornwell Geter, Lesley Vincent of Clayton, LA, Shannon Cornwell Green (Freddie) of Ferriday, LA and Jackie Cornwell of Ferriday, LA; and his siblings, Wayne Cornwell of Milford, Jesse M. Cornwell, Sr. (Dolly) of Wichita, KS, Larry Cornwell (Mollie) of Wichita, KS, Ilene Buckles (Richard Glidden) of Natchez, MS and Carolyn "Tiny" Alfieri (Lou) of Brandon, MS. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
