He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Doucet and Odile Babineaux Doucet; his brother Delton Doucet; and his in-laws, Elton and Leola Sonnier Smith.

He is survived by: his sons, David (Paula) of Rayne and Kevin of Van Alseyne, TX; his grandchildren, Claire, Mathieu (Taylor), Erin (Scott) and Sarah; his great grandchildren, Kirsten, Jeremiah, Brantley, Wes, Cadeley, Kodi Rose, Everley, Khloe and Scarlett; and his siblings, Elton, Herbert Doucet, Loretta Thibodeaux and Judy Colligan. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
