She was predeceased by: her parents, Eddison Matte and Adeniza Richard; and her husband Joseph Milton "Brown" Carriere. She is survived by: her children, Patricia C. Venable (James) of Church Point and Jimmy Carriere (Jeanette) of Church Point; her grandchildren, Christy Venable, Tiffany V. Duhon, Jody Bertrand, Justin, Jared Carriere, Jessica Wynn and Julie Guidry; and her siblings, Barbara Jean Carriere, Terry Elkins and Delton Matte. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
