She was predeceased by: her parents, Dovick Simien and Evella Simien; and her husband Johnny Maturin. She is survived by: her children, Merilda Meyers of Church Point, Ann Renfro (James) of Fort Worth, TX, Anthonio Fontenot of Church Point and Fadel Al-Ajam of Arlington, TX; and her siblings, Betty Rideaux of Lake Charles, LA and Larry Simien of Opelousas, LA.. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at the Guidry Funeral Home (219 N Broadway St, Church Point, LA 70525). A rosary was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the Guidry Funeral Home Inc. (219 N Broadway St, Church Point, LA 70525). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, November 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Assumption BVM Cemetery (219 N Broadway St, Church Point, LA 70525).
