It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mae Higginbotham (Church Point, Louisiana), who passed away on April 1, 2019, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her granddaughter Lilly Jeanelle Higginbotham; her great grandchild Lively Mae Hembree; and her parents, Leo Doucet and Hermina Jeanise Doucet. She is survived by: her children, Ben Joseph Higginbotham, Jr. of Church Point, Russell James (Diane Higginbotham) of Church Point, Kenneth (Ellen Higginbotham) of Baton Rouge, Jude (Patty Higginbotham) of Branch and Mary Ann (Richard Wayne Guidry) of Zachary, LA; her sister Rita Marks of Opelousas; and her spouse Ben Joseph Higginbotham, Sr.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
