She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph W. Murphy and Mary Jeanise Murphy; her in-laws, Leopold and Rosalie Venable; and her brothers, Sherman, Allen and Michael Murphy.

She is survived by: her husband Paul Randy Venable of Lafayette; her children, Cassie Robin (Scotty) of Henderson, LA and Paul Courtney "House" Venable (Jennifer); her grandson Jared Joseph Paul Robin; and her sisters, Evelyn Higginbotham (Ollie) and Jeanette McBride (Howard).
