She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Richard; her son James "Boy" Richard; her grandson Michael Richard; her son-in-law Gerald Doucet; and her parents, Lastie Richard and Elena S. Richard.
She is survived by: her children, John "Toot" (Lurleen Richard) of Church Point, Elena Doucet of Opelousas and Mona Barton of Lafayette. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
The family of Mrs. Hilda Richard has requested that all wear a mask while in attendance of her services.
