He was predeceased by: his parents, Berchman A. Venable and Eula Jagneaux Venable; his siblings, Dallas (Shirley Venable) and Ivy Mae Bellard (Herman); his niece Monica Bellard Briggs; and his nephews, Richard "Dicky" Weaver and Brian Venable.
He is survived by: his sons, Ricky Venable of New Iberia, LA and Joey Venable of Rayne, LA; his brother Albert Venable (Faye) of Church Point; and the mother of his children Helen Carriere of Rayne. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
