He was predeceased by: his wife Natile Marie Higginbotham; his children, Joseph Early LeJeune, Jr. and Caroline LeJeune; his parents, Jerry, Sr. and Francis Higginbotham; and his siblings, J. C. Higginbotham, Will Higginbotham and Belva Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Raquel Higginbotham of Church Point and Joseph Gilbert (Elaine LeJeune) of Church Point; his grandchildren, Ashley Elkins, Mark LeJeune (Hope), Terry LeJeune (Sonya), Kenneth Boudreaux, Scotty Boudreaux, Tina Lavergne and Angela Bourgeois; his great grandchildren, Ariel Doucet, Michael Roy Dileonardo and Levi Coy LeJeune; and his children-in-law, Ivry LeJeune of Church Point and Roy Elkins of Church Point.
