She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred McBride and Emalina Comeaux McBride; her husband Elvie Matte; and her children, James Ronald Matte and Donna Matte Espree.

She is survived by: her children, Joseph Rogers Elkins, Rodney Elkins (Dania) and Bonnie Belle Matte of Sunset, LA. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
