He is survived by: his son Kendrick Carter; his siblings, Joseph Bradley Riggs, Joseph Ashton Riggs, Jr., Andrea Riggs Davis, Tamekia Lazare and Lathedral Manuel; his aunts and uncles, Ruby Gotch, Jackie Monroe (Nolan), Louella Cook, Leroy Riggs, Albert Riggs and Lee-Etta Handy; his godmother Anna Jane Guidry; and his godchildren, Khali Moten, Carmine Lazare and Brylon Manuel.
