He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred I. McAlister and Velma; his wife Gladys Jean McAlister; his grandson Ryan Thomas Hurst; and his siblings, Donald, George, James McAlister, Margie Brown, Novak, Marilyn Jo Spurlock and Emily Goetz.
He is survived by: his daughters, Robin McAlister Mangione (Michael) of Albany, OR, Elizabeth McAlister Monk (Dwayne L.) of Choudrant, LA and Ashley McAlister Fleeger (Joe) of Benton, AR; his siblings, Mary Huffty, Glenda Greer, William McAlister, Donnie King and Brenda Isgar; his grandchildren, Sarah Elizabeth Monk, Hannah Leigh Monk, Cody McAlister Hurst (MaKayla), Evan James Hurst and Dominic Mangione; his great grandchildren, Eli James Hurst and Asher Ryan Hurst; and his caregiver Adra Young. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
