She was predeceased by: her husband Alexander J. Cheramie Sr.; her son Alexander J. Cheramie Jr.; her parents, Nativel Sr. and Augustin Collins; and her siblings, Nativel Collins Jr., Huey Collins, Melva Collins and Juanita Polkey.
She is survived by: her sons, Roger A. Cheramie (Judy) and Depp J. Cheramie (Tillie); her grandchildren, Amber Null (Billy), Abbie Bascle (Craig), Matthew Cheramie (Quita) and Shawn Cheramie; and her sister Dorita Camardelle.
