He was predeceased by: his former wife Gail Francis Carlos Authement; his parents, Wilfred J. Sr. Authement and Cecille Trahan Authement; his sons, Reggie and Lodgar "Loddy" J. Authement; his siblings, Raymond, Edmond, William, Edward Authement, Merdias Authement, Rosalie Guy, Brenda White, Yvonne Authement and Lois Grabert; and his grandchild Felton Authement Galliano.
He is survived by: his wife Mable Ann Matherne Authement; his children, Bartholomew "Bart" J. Authement Sr (Vickie), Chad T. Authement, Valerie C. Authement and Tangi C. Goings (Christina); his daughter-in-law Rebecca P. Authement; his stepchildren, Belinda Trosclair (Todd) and L. J. Paul Dupre Jr. (Rachel); his siblings, Wilfred Authement Jr, Theresa A. LeBouef, Mercedes Brunet and Joyce Sevin; and his grandchildren, Bartholomew Authement Jr., Naomi, Christian Authement (Dawn), Somer Authement, Brittany Authement (Chad), Kelsey Authement, Ricky Smith, Amber Theriot (Brett), Kaci Authement, Raini Gautreaux (Justin), Stevi Bourg (Louis) and Jearmie Bourg Jr. (Erika). He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
