He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Peter "Cyrus" Pitre Sr. and Ortise Thibodeaux Pitre; and his sisters, Eva Grube Carlos, Mary Louise Authement, JoAnn Pitre, Pearl Bourg and Enola Lirette.
He is survived by: his wife Lorita Chauvin Pitre; his daughters, Christine Gonzales (Terry), Angela "Do Do" Gill (Ricky) and Donna Lottinger (Britt); and his grandchildren, Travis Gonzales (Raquel), Kiley Gonzales, Allicia Gonzales, Ernest Luke, Brandon Gill (Kristina), Donavon Gill (Allison) and Paxton Lottinger. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
