He is survived by: his close friend Merline Trahan; his children, Stacey Guidry (Vickie), Shanna Battise (Robert), Harris and Nicholas Guidry (Erika); his stepdaughters, Tabatha Gutierrez (Jesus) and Melissa Henry (Eldren); and his brothers, Larry Guidry (Joan), Vernon Carrere (Sheri) and Eric Carrere (Christie). He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
