He was predeceased by: his wife Marie Bergeron Eschete; his parents, Henry "Chonk" Eschete and Hazel Hebert Eschete; his siblings, Dallas Eschete, Ida Eschete Picou and Mamis Eschete Dufrene; and his sister-in-law Theresa Bergeron Blanchard.

He is survived by: his children, Allen Eschete (Johnny Belinda Buquet), Wayne Eschete (Patsy Derrington), Donald Eschete (Janice Voisin), Charlene Eschete Ryman (Jerry), Sandra Eschete Lirette (Kurt), Barbara Eschete-Firmature (Lynn) and Mary Eschete Lapeyrouse (Leslie); and his sister Drusella Eschete Duplantis. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren.
